|
Google Analytics is a FREE service offered by Google that generates detailed statistics about the visitors to a website. It can track visitors from all referrers, including search engines, display advertising, pay-per-click networks, email marketing and digital collateral such as links within PDF documents. Google Analytic's approach is to show high level dashboard-type data for the casual user, and more in-depth data further into the report set.
For more information or to setup an account visit: http://www.google.com/analytics/
1. Setup an account with Google Analytics
2. Sign into your web site account
3. Under the EDIT PROFILE AND SITE SETTINGS towards the bottom of the page, there is a place/box to enter the Google Analytics source code - copy and paste the code provided by Google Analytics into this area. (The entry area is entitled GOOGLE ANALYTICS and is located towards the bottom of this page.)
IMPORTANT: (It is NOT necessary to paste the source code into each page of your website.)
4. Once the source code is pasted into this area, click SUBMIT NEW SETTINGS button at the bottom of the page
5. PUBLISH Your Site Changes
It will take approximately 24 hours for the statistics to begin reporting.
